Whether you have a consistent yoga practice, you are coming back to your yoga mat after time off, or you are brand new to yoga - this retreat day will help you strengthen your yoga foundation. Spend a day at the Archway revisiting the core basics, and learn how to go beyond for a complete yoga experience.

11:00 a.m. Active Practice

Basics of an Active Practice: Learn the fundamental yoga poses and sequences that are accessible and beneficial to all levels, including: the Sun Salutation Sequence, Warriors 1 & 2, Core Poses, Twists, Basic Backbends & Forward Folds

 

1:00 p.m. A Tasty Vegan Lunch

~  Mediterranean Olive Sampler

~ Eggplant Bruschetta on Fresh Crustini

~ Homemade Hummus Variety with Warm Pita

~  Grilled Tofu and Quinoa Salad

~ Butternut Squash, Ginger, and Carrot Soup paired with Whole Grain Bread.

2:00 p.m. Beyond the Poses

Basics of a Deeper Yoga practice; the importance of Breath and One-Pointed Focus

 

3:00 p.m. Balancing Act

Balancing the Physical and the Mental with a Restorative yoga practice including aromatherapy and self-care techniques

 

4:00 p.m. Happy Zen Hour

Closing Happy Hour: dark chocolate, fruit, kombucha, wine
